How can I lose belly fat fast and maintain a good healthy diet?

Tuesday, August 10th, 2010

I am 13 and i really want to lose belly fat.
I also want to maintain a good healthy weight.
I want to eat healthy but am not sure of what types of foods would be helpful.
Thanks- In advance

Simple. Just exercise more and eat less (and healthier). Try to only eat when you’re hungry and eat smaller portions (like instead of eating a whole bag of chips, eat a small bowl and savor it). Don’t eat just because you’re bored and don’t eat in front of the computer or TV. Make healthier meals with lots vegetables and full grains. Drink skim milk at dinner but drink water the rest of the day. You can still enjoy a few cookies or a bowl of ice cream, just don’t overdo it.

For exercise, make it a goal to do something physical every day. You could take the dog for a walk, go biking, go for a jog, swim a few laps, do some hard yard work, go for a hike, do some sit ups and pushups, try yoga, or watch a workout video! Don’t make up complicated routines or anything; you’re less likely to keep up. It’s okay if you miss a day or two; just make sure you start back up again the next day.

Also, don’t forget to take a multivitamin and get enough sleep! Good luck, you can do it! :)

How do I lose belly fat in one month?

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

I don’t know if it’s big or not, but I think it’s pretty huge for a 13 year old girl. I guess a better question would be how to lose belly fat without dieting. My mother has something against it. Maybe it’s because healthy foods cost a lot. Also what are some exercises that strongly encourage losing belly fat.
I forgot to ask this before but, how can I stop having so many cravings and how can I stop overeating?

Here’s how to lose weight effectively, SAFELY and healthily.

Run about 4-5 miles everyday :)
Make sure you have the right shoes. Spikes or Reebok RunTone running shoes should help (:
I got mine a month ago and since I had them, I’ve been running 5 miles everyday and so far these are my results:
- Lost about 10 pounds of fat. (I can practically see my abs)
- I feel stronger
- I’m a lot less tired in the morning.
- I love my muscled legs right now. Well, they we’re already muscled since I’m naturally really big-boned but now they’re more muscled. So, running helps alot :)

- Gained 13 pounds of muscle (This is different for everyone depending on the type of body you have. I’m really big-boned, I have a body that’s 72% muscle and I’m a mesomorph and a endomorph)

Also, you can eat almost anything as long as it’s not too fattening.
I eat a huge bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch in the morning and about 2 hours before I go to sleep.
During the day I just eat a regular meal. Then go jogging for 30 minutes.

Also try eating every three hours. When you learn to eat every 3 hours, you’ll gain control over your blood sugar, which will help you put control of your appetite. When you control your appetite, you control your weight. When you control your weight, you’ll feel so much more energized and confident. Your self-esteem will go through the roof. You’ll enjoy looking at yourself in the mirror and appreciating all the hard work you’ve done. You’ll feel so good about yourself so healthy and fit, that nothing will stand in your way.

This is my diet:

Meal 1 @ 8 am : Breakfast (400 calories of balanced nutrients)
Meal 2 @ 11 pm: Snack (100 calories)
Meal 3 @ 2 pm: Lunch (400 calories of balanced nutrients)
Meal 4 @ 5 pm: Snack (100 calories)
Meal 5 @ 8 pm: Dinner (400 calories of balanced nutrients)
Meal 6 @ 9 pm: Treat (60 calories)

Believe it or not, this is all coming from a FULLY-OVER DEVELOPED, 120 pounds, 12 year old.
I know all this thanks to Jorge Cruise. Today he’s recognized as America’s #1 weight-loss expert because he makes weight loss easy. He’s been featured on VH1, THE TYRA BANKS SHOW, OPRAH AND CNN and is the exclusive diet coach for AOL.

Hope I helped :)

How do I lose belly fat quickly and easily?

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

I’m 14, very active and I’m starting to eat really healthy. I don’t have that much fat to lose, but I want to tone up in my belly area. Some places say cardio, some say strength exercises. I just want to lose the weight pretty quickly

Sit ups but more importantly a good diet. This is probably just as important as the exercise. You can exercise all you want and but if you are not eating right you will just grow muscle behind the little fat you may have. Also cardio is the next best thing. So the order I have found to work is focus on Diet, cardio and then the sit ups. You really need all three but my point is you can’t just do sit ups and hope all goes well.

How many laps do i have to swim to lose belly fat?

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

i’ve heard that to lose belly fat, you need to first do sit ups and stuff to get ab muscle, and then do cardio for the muscle to burn the fat. is that true? if not, what is? also, if i already have muscle under about 1/2 inch thick of belly fat, how many laps in the pool per day should i do to lose all the fat in a month? btw, i’m 13, and i am already doing 30 sit ups a day.

There is no question that having increased muscle mass (size) will aid in weight loss from fat. However, it IS a fallacy that you can spot reduce. If you do sit ups and you have a "hidden" six pack, any extra calories you use for exercise come from the fat uniformly distributed around your body. There are different types of fat found in different parts of your body that get used at different rates. However, exercising one area does not make that area (like the abs) decrease in fat before others.

In a high school pool, while swimming at the rate of two lengths every minute you use about 0.075 calories per minute per pound you weigh. So, a 150 pound person swimming for 10 minutes would use 150 x 0.077 x 10 = 115.5 calories.

To lose ONE POUND of fat, you must use 3500 calories MORE than you eat. So, at the rate I’ve described, you’d have to swim for FIVE HOURS to lose one pound of fat or 50 hours to lose 10 lbs of fat.

So, if you need to lose 10 pounds, that will take 50 hours of swimming at the rate of 50 yards every minute, a bit over 28 miles of swimming.

To do the same on a bicycle riding at the rate of 15.0 miles per hour, you’d need to ride 65 hours (or 975 miles) to lose 10 pounds (just about 1 pound for every 100 miles) .

To do the same jogging at 5 mph you’d need to jog for about 8 hours to lose one pound of fat or 80 hours to lose 10 pounds.

What are some great core exercises that will help me lose belly fat?

Monday, June 28th, 2010

I feel very uncomfortable in my own skin and that has to do with my belly fat. What are some ab exercises that will help me lose belly fat.

ok so first…you have to be willing to do the effort. Ok so im thin and im in good athletic shape but i am still working on my abs. i want to have noticeably girly abs. what i do (every night) is i have this video–losing it with valerie berntinelli. u dont really need this video but if u can get it that would be great. So first you do a bunch of different types of crunches..5 at a time…then you do the same thing but now 10 at a time and in less than 2 months you should start to see some ab outline. for more details click on this link—>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMf9PwneeLg

What are natural foods and ways to lose belly fat for a six pack?

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

Please no acai berry. I am trying to do this by 3 weeks. I am not fat but i need to lose that belly fat for the six pack to show. I highly will appreciate your help :]

jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight
evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in
specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are
your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have
to work double on them. The best approach is this:
1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal
weight, lower for overweight).
2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.
3. Target your problem areas with exercises.
an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,
for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure
that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you
will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your
body back, until it’s parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add
to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,
guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat – if you have any – six
pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these
crunches – I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT
ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

Whats the fastest way to lose belly fat at the gym?

Sunday, June 20th, 2010

Hello, I really want to lose belly fat before summer starts or the start of summer.
I have been doing cardio on the treadmill, Eliptical and lifting weights and ab crunches with weights.
Does anyone have any tips on how can i lose belly fat more effectivelly at the gym?

Exercising your core, like with crunches, hanging leg raises and reverse extensions, will help you LOOK slimmer and help you keep a better posture which really helps with your appearance.

But as far as actually losing belly fat, you can;t spot reduce. You have to lose fat in general and some of that fat will come off your belly.

To lose fat, you want a combination of aerobic (elliptical, treadmill, etc) and weight lifting. When you increase muscle mass, especially in your legs, you increase your metabolism because muscle burns calories even when you aren’t active.

If you are concerned about losing some in the chest while losing weight,, you might want to do a lot of chest exercises like flies and presses.

The rule of thumb in Weight lifting is that if you want to build mass, you want to have the weight high enough that you can only do 8 or 12 reps ( 3 sets each, approx)
If you just want to tone, have the weight light enough that you can do more than 12, but not more than 20.
